1. Project Overview: Zhejiang Guanyu Baibu Phase I Factory Renovation
Zhejiang Guanyu Battery Co., Ltd.’s 10GWh annual capacity power battery project is located in Baibu Economic Development Zone, Haiyan (Baibu Town). The main structures of the Phase I production workshop, office building, and R&D testing workshop have been completed, with exterior walls and interior renovations underway. Seven production lines in the workshop are being commissioned in an orderly manner, with production planned to start in Q4 this year.
With the rapid rise of the new energy vehicle market and sustained high growth, demand for power batteries has soared, prompting accelerated industry layout by governments and enterprises. The Guanyu project was signed and settled in Baibu Development Zone with a total investment of 5.8 billion RMB. Upon reaching full capacity, annual sales are expected to exceed 10 billion RMB. The project has been successfully declared a special major industrial project of Zhejiang Province. As one of the youngest provincial-level economic development zones in Zhejiang, Baibu Development Zone emphasizes both industrial and talent attraction, strengthening the industrial chain and fostering emerging industries.

It ranks second globally in the 3C consumer lithium battery market. In power batteries, Zhuhai Guanyu has become a qualified supplier for multiple automobile manufacturers.
An official from Zhejiang Guanyu Battery stated, “Investing in Haiyan is the company’s ‘second entrepreneurship.’” Despite existing production bases in Zhuhai, Guangdong and Chongqing, Zhuhai Guanyu decided to establish a production base and innovation R&D center in Haiyan, Zhejiang. This site will become the company’s main power battery innovation and production base.
As a key new energy and new materials project nurtured by Haiyan, construction receives high attention. In addition to supporting apartment buildings, full efforts are made to ensure energy, electricity, and steam supply. The 110KV dedicated power line’s civil works and tower erection have been completed, with cable laying underway and expected to be energized by March this year. Two 10KV backup power lines are supplying electricity, and a third is under construction. The steam pipeline has been laid and is ready for steam supply.
