I. Introduction to Huzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center Elephant Hotel
The project has a total investment of RMB 3.36 billion and a building height of 180 meters, located at the southeast corner of Huxun Avenue and Xunlian Road, occupying a prime position in the Nanxun city gateway.
The Elephant Hotel is a world-class, ultra-high-rise, prefabricated structure in Nanxun Ancient Town, Huzhou. Constructed under EPC general contracting by China Energy Engineering Group Construction Co., Ltd., the building integrates a five-star hotel, serviced apartments, banquet and entertainment facilities, and a rooftop sky garden. Upon completion, it will be a highly recognizable landmark.
The hotel covers a total construction area of approximately 257,000 square meters, with 2 underground floors and 41 above-ground floors. The design draws inspiration from the “Four Elephants and Eight Oxen” legend, symbolizing wealth and prosperity. Facing the lake, the tower resembles an elephant drinking water, forming the visual concept of “one mirror-like lake, two landmarks facing each other”—the Elephant Hotel and the Convention Center.
Structurally, the hotel consists of three core tubes. The irregular and complex structure is formed using prefabricated and assembled steel structures, highlighting features such as the “elephant trunk” and “raised hip.” The main steel truss of the “elephant body” weighs 1,500 tons, spans 36 meters, and stands 9 meters high, installed using a ground assembly and integral lifting method.
