I. Introduction to Dalian Chemical Jiangsu Company
Overview
Dalian Chemical (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dalian Chemical Corporation, Taiwan. The factory is located at No. 1 Dalian Road, Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park.
Phase I, launched in April 2004, began pilot production of:

EVA latex is widely used for PVC, plastic films, porous substrates such as paper, wood, fiber, cotton, PU foam, and in civil engineering as a cement enhancer and waterproofing additive.
BDO is a raw material for PBT, PU, THF, PTMEG, GBL, polyester plasticizers, and PU chain extenders.
PTMEG is mainly used in Spandex (elastane) production, elastomers, synthetic leather, coatings, and paints. Dalian Chemical (Jiangsu) partners with BASF Shanghai as one of China’s major suppliers.
Phase II, initiated in April 2005, focused on acrylic alcohol auxiliary projects, beginning production in spring 2006. Acrylic alcohol serves as an intermediate in pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and fragrances, and is used for synthesizing epichlorohydrin, glycerin, BDO, allyl ketone, as well as producing plasticizers and engineering plastics. Its derivatives, such as carbonates and ethers, are used in optical resins, safety glass, displays, and polymer adhesives.
