Overview

DingTalk (DingTalk), developed by Alibaba, is a smart mobile office platform for global enterprises. The Xixi Headquarters Project represents Alibaba’s largest investment in a landmark building in Hangzhou, with a total investment of 2.5 billion RMB.

• Location: Future Technology City, Yuhang District, Hangzhou

• Site Area: 72 acres

• Total Construction Area: 232,000 m² (Above-ground: 144,000 m²; Underground: 88,000 m²)

Design & Concept

• The project features East and West building blocks connected via a central sunken plaza

• Design concept: “Mountains and Water, Void and Solid,” integrating natural water systems and landscape into modern architecture

• Step-shaped building tops include large panoramic terraces, offering views of three-sided water bodies and distant Xixi wetlands

• Courtyard-style layout maximizes ventilation, natural light, and thermal comfort, mitigating urban heat island effects

Construction & Impact

• Part of 30 major projects in Yuhang District started on December 30, 2021, expected completion by end of 2024
