I. Introduction to Shenzhen Xinhua Hospital
Overview
Shenzhen Xinhua Hospital is a public general hospital funded by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, officially opened on December 26, 2024. Located in the core area of Longhua District, adjacent to Hongshan Station of Metro Lines 4 and 6, the hospital covers approximately 57,000 square meters, with a total building area of over 500,000 square meters, including 4 underground floors and 22 above-ground floors. It is currently the largest single-structure hospital in Shenzhen.
Planning & Design
The hospital follows a modern, green, humanistic, and intelligent design philosophy. It adopts a “hospital-free” concept and a vertical circulation layout, connecting metro lines and main roads, incorporating sunlight valleys and sky gardens to create a healing garden environment.
Medical Resources
Managed by Peking University Shenzhen Hospital, the hospital operates under group management and standardized operations. Key clinical specialties such as orthopedics and dentistry are transferred from Peking University Shenzhen Hospital. Initially, the hospital offers 17 clinical departments, 4 platform departments, and 2 comprehensive wards, with over 50 expert physicians dispatched from Peking University Shenzhen Hospital.
Service Model
The hospital implements a “one-bed system” and HDU ward model to improve bed utilization efficiency. It also offers a one-stop comprehensive service center for appointments and consultations, providing an integrated eight-in-one service model to reduce patient wait times and visits.
Specialized Centers
Key focus areas include dermatology and cosmetic surgery, dentistry, obstetrics and gynecology, digestive diseases, and sports rehabilitation. Additionally, the hospital plans to develop a Shenzhen Sports Hospital, integrating multiple specialized functions to meet diverse healthcare needs.
