I. Introduction to Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant:
Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant is located in Hongyanhe Town, Wafangdian City. It is a nuclear power project approved for construction during the 11th Five-Year Plan period. It is the first nuclear power plant in northeast China, and it is a standardized and large-scale construction project of four million kilowatt nuclear power units.

Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant phase I started construction in August 2007. Unit 1 was put into operation on June 6, 2013, and subsequent units were put into commercial operation at an annual rate of one.
The construction of two units of hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant phase II began in 2015, and the project is in good progress. It is planned to be fully completed in 2021.
At 15:09 on February 17, 2013, unit 1 was successfully connected to the grid, marking that the first nuclear power plant in northeast China has become capable of generating power.

Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Unit 4 started construction on August 15, 2009. At 9:52 on April 1, 2016, Unit 4 was connected to the grid and generated power of 52 MEGAwatts, indicating that Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Unit 4 has power generation capacity.
